It is the symbol of heaven and the most holy place in the church, separated from Questroma by the Madbha Veil. It is situated three steps above the Questroma. The three steps signifies Golgotha reminding us of the self-sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Madbha symbolizes the Holy of Holies, which is heaven on earth.
